VidAngel Review #12: Green Room

Image
VidAngel is a media streaming service which allows viewers to filter any sort of content they choose. For me, I choose to not watch R-rated films in theaters based on certain content. I still have plenty of interest in these films, though, so I use VidAngel as a platform to watch new R-rated releases on demand, and then share my opinion thereafter. Considering that much will have already been written about these films by the time I watch them, these reviews will be brief. Click here for an archive of all the films I’ve reviewed via VidAngel. (Poster Source: Wikipedia ) Finally, finally, finally! I have been anticipating watching Green Room for quite some time. What you are about to read is an essay that is related to other articles in a 10-part series on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. My purpose in writing these posts is to analyze the initial public response of the film, discuss what that means for modern film criticism, and then share my thoughts on why The Force Awakens actually is a great installment in the franchise. All of this is done in anticipation for the next Star Wars film, Rogue One , which will be released in December. See the list below for all previous entries in this series . Previous Posts - Introduction - Part I: Returning to Form - Part II: Plot Structure Sorry for the short hiatus on my series of Force Awakens posts. For the life of a married full-time college student who also works 40-50 hours a week, I don't always have time to for this blog. Nevertheless, I love bringing content to you guys, so I will continue to write as often as possible. Also, I still have a goal of completing this ser...
