A Baptism!

OH YES!!!

Glory hallelujah, Moses Lul is now a clean, purified and happy member of the Church! Getting everything organized and settled for his ordinances this past weekend was a stressful ordeal, but that is typically what happens with baptisms anyway, so no big deal. All that I care about is that all went smoothly this past weekend, and Moses feels proud for the decision he made to enter into the glorious covenant of baptism. Elder Homer had the honor of performing the baptism on Saturday, and then I bestowed the gift of the Holy Ghost upon Moses yesterday morning in Sacrament Meeting. It was definitely a sacred experience, to say the least. I'm filled with amazement that God trusts young, foolish men like us to carry out His Work of saving His children. Not only that, but when it comes to the matter of actually performing those saving ordinances, the Lord trusts us with that too. Such truths are very humbling to me, and I am grateful that I have the opportunity each and every day to know the truthfulness of the Restoration of the Gospel. That glorious event has brought the truth back to the earth, and this means that we can all one day make it back to our Heavenly Home if we follow, obey, and repent when we fall short.

The Stringhams, one of the office couples, goes to our ward but will be heading home this month. We will miss them!

So, we helped one person enter into the covenant of baptism this weekend, and our sights are now focused on helping more individuals make the decision to follow Christ's example too. Of course we will certainly face challenges along the way, but I testify that Christ is standing beside us as we share our testimonies with others. The reason why is because He led us to finding six new investigators this past week! Five of them are all part of the same family; the parents and three teenage children are all Catholics, but their curiosity and real intent is uncanny. Who knows whether or not they will continue to progress, but in any case, Elder Homer and I were humbled that we got the chance to share the Restoration with those who were open enough to learn about it.

Pumpkin heads??

To make a long story short, in these next several weeks we will be doing plenty of finding--as we should always be doing anyway. I know that the Lord has prepared at least one person for us to help enter the waters of baptism within the next transfer, and the only way we can find this out is if we continue to diligently find more people to teach and then help them progress. I simply pray that we may have success as we move forward in this great effort to do what the Lord wants us to do.

I love this Gospel with all my heart, and I love you all too!

Scripture of the Week: Mosiah 18:21 (Just as the Saints were encouraged to be 100% unified in times of old, so should we be so unified.)

Missionary Advice: Have you started ponderizing in your own family yet? If not, you should start doing so, and then share your experiences with others.

Oh great.
